The St Nicholas Arms is a great traditional local pub, modernised to date with contemporary décor, all whilst retaining the original charm.
Our friendly staff serve a range of continental lagers, craft beer, traditional ales and ciders. We are also pleased to introduce the addition of a modern twist on classic cocktails and an exciting new wine list.
In addition, we are delighted to introduce our menu of freshly prepared pub favourites, our unique sharing towers and the best hand cut chips in the area.  Enjoy these tasty delights inside our cosy pub or outside in our new terrace.
A great local pub with something for everyone including Sky Sports, regular live entertainment and events to enjoy with friends and family.

Sunday Menu
We offer lighter bites, served as starters/ sides or sharers.
King prawn cocktail, Thai fishcakes with sweet chilli sauce and meatballs served with tomato sauce and topped with melted cheese.
Add these tasty sides: skinny fires, hand cut chips, seasonal salad dish and onion ring stack.
Steak & Ale Pie - an individual, traditional style pie served creamy mashed potato or hand cut chips, peas and our own recipe gravy.
Local Cumberland sausage, with creamy mashed potato, onion rings and gravy.
Our own beer battered fish fillet, traditionally served with peas and tartare sauce or a jug of curry sauce.
Lemon & chive chicken served with fresh vegetables and buttered new potatoes.
Tagliatelle served with a vegetarian green pesto, with fresh basil (contains pine nuts).
Traditional Sunday lunch menu available, with 1/2/3/ course offers available.
For family dining, we will also have a children’s menu available – same great food just smaller portions.
Don’t forget our speciality desserts, prepared freshly by our chef including the old favourites and seasonal variations.

Our Drinks

We have a full range of speciality gins and a premium spirit selection, served with a variety of mixers to bring a modern twist to your favourite tipple.

We are proud to introduce our Classic Cocktail list for you to work through.  Please see our cocktail list for this seasons’ collection.

Our range of continental beers and lagers are chosen from the Heineken cellar.  Birra Morretti the ultimate Italian lager brewed since 1859. Lagunitas Daytime IPA from the Lagunitas brewing company.  Strongbow Dark Fruits for that refreshing summer quencher and John Smiths bitter, brewed in Tadcaster still the highest selling bitter in the UK. 

Our wines are chosen from the Jack Rabbit range and includes Pinot Grigio from Italy, Chardonnay from the USA and Shiraz from Chile.  For your celebration choose Prosecco Vino Spumante. A wine for every occasion.
